Welcome

Welcome to the welcome page! I am currently working to update this site so arrangement and editing are not quite where I would like them to be ...but should be up to par soon!!
Etched Aluminum Bowls The  pieces on the next page are made of aluminum, etched in several layers and sealed with acrylic inks. I developed this technique for my MFA thesis in an attempt to diminish the boundry between delicacy and durability. By slowly dissolving the metal ( 6 -8 week process) in a deliberate pattern a  visual impression of fragility emerges that is solidly rooted in the shape and strength of the metal. Each piece is one of a kind although "similarities" can be made in a variety of sizes.

Sterling Silver Aluminum and Titanium Jewelry The second page is a new line jewelry in sterling silver, aluminum and titanium. The earrings, bracelets and slides are textured through a rolling mill  and formed into shape. The flowers are made of thin aluminum sheet, colored with acrylic ink and finished with a low fire glaze. They are then embellished with coated silver wire and freshwater pearls. the backs are ambiguous so they can attach to a neck wire or pin
Wall Pieces On the third page are some  wall sculptures I refer to them as "Moments" in reference to the Baroque ideal of capturing "a moment in time" I like to think of them as caught in the act of floating through space.
